Ideally arbitration by Judge Zinelli Farinazzo , the tournament ended with the victory of Christian Motz (AT Verona) on George Ferraccioli (TC Bergantino) 6-0 6-4.



The board reserved for NC Luciano Reana (TC Casaleone) prevailed with a score of 6-2 6-3 against Paul Small (AT Villabartolomea).

Si è vero, l'Italia anche questa volta non è stata un gran che, anche peggio della prima partita dove almeno si erano visti più velocità e carattere. Oggi ha prevalso una certa frettolosità e sciatteria: butta la palla in mezzo che poi si vede... Comunque io continuo a preferire il coach vero alle schiere di couch coaches, giornalisti, specialisti del "l'avevo detto...". Lippi fa talmente poco per risultare simpatico da esserlo diventato (almeno per me). Nella conferenza stampa dopo la partita, una cosa seria almeno l'ha detta (passata ovviamente inosservata ai più): "non c'è una spiegazione a tutto". Un giorno gira storta, un giorno dritta: così, per caso, o per ragioni che non hanno niente a che fare con gli schemi dell'attacco, il 4-4-2 o il 4-3-3.
